Tetracycline.
Tetracycline can be prescribed by your doctor if you have any of the following bacterial infections: infection of genital and urinary systems, acne, infections of skin, Lyme disease, respiratory tract infections, Helicobacter pylori, or any other ones your health care provider thinks it will be efficient for. If you are allergic to tetracycline or any other medications – please make sure you let your doctor know about it in advance. Tetracycline can make your skin more sensitive to the effects of sun. You will need to wear protective clothes and apply sunscreen whenever you go out to avoid getting sunburn. Both mild and more serious side effects are sometimes possible, although serious side effects are quite rare. The following mild side effects are sometimes possible: trouble swallowing, vaginal itching, sores or swelling in your rectal or genital area, mild nausea, swollen tongue, vomiting, stomach upset, and diarrhea. More serious side effects can include skin rash, upset stomach, jaundice, fever or chills, dark-colored urine, itching, hives, vomiting, difficulty breathing, severe headache, blurred vision, loss of appetite, and stomach pain.
